Default Different pads front + rear,,,, Help Please

The pads (front and rear) on my 04 standard WRX need replacing, i was looking at straight oem replacment pads on camskill but the fact theyre non branded and so cheap worries me, i cant really afford to get EBC red stuffs front and rear as its going to be about £175 from what ive seen, as im having to replace the rear shocks at the same time.

my question is, are they're any problems with going for red stuff pads on the front and sticking to the oem level pads on the rears? or is this pointless?

any replies/ suggestions greatly appreciated,

Steve

Hi,

I have this exact set up, and the car works just fine.

The only problem that you have is that the red stuff pads can seem a little hard 'wooden' when the brakes are cold, but once they are warm then they are very good ( much better then OEM ). To get the best from the Red stuff pads - you need to get them warm.........

I would recommend going for either yellow stuff as they are a little softer ( and give off a fair bit of brake dust ) or speak to a couple of the guys on here - I think its bob* from EBC or aztec* from aztec performance who might be able to do you some other pads?

Hope that Helps.

Chris L.

*sorry if i got your names wrong.
