Default can you get shocks repaired

is there anyone that repairs shocks ..my sti ones need replacing but was just wondering if here is a company that repairs them?

Would like to know answer too as i have a set off JIC coilovers that have lost the gas outta 1 shocker,

come on n e one? no doubt one off the gurus will be along soon

Yes you can, there is a company near me called Dampertech that repairs them.

Apparently you cant repair Jap coilovers though i.e HKS, Tein etc. There classed as desposable, UNLESS you send them back to the factory that they were made in!

I'll see if I can find the number for Dampertech for you, think he only charged my mate £40 per shock

are they sticking? If so they need re-greasing as the grease goes solid.

I have sti struts on my forester and have had to do this as one was sticking. Pretty easy job.

so basically take the strut off remove the spring undo the nut at the end of the strut remove the shaft clean out re grease and re assemble andthey are done?......anyone else have any info?

I wonder if he can do my old Porsche M030 struts/dampers for £40 each? Thatd be brilliant.

I have a set of Ohlins outta my RA i woudl have liked rebuilt , was recommended Aurok Ltd - Suspension Specialists as the UK Ohlins dealer, they might be worth a call to see if they would tackle non-Ohlins equip?

was about £85 a corner IRC

01709 703992, in Brampton-en-le-Morthen, near Maltby: assuming its the same firm. Quite near to me too.
