MMM think that quote is quite steep for just a re-map, who quoted that if you dont mind me asking?

There is wallace performance at Bridge of Don in Aberdeen, There is also Jim King autotune in Inverurie in Aberdeenshire (my car is in there at the moment getting timing belt done)

But if you wont the best in scotland to re-map your car then contact Andy Forrest very well spoken of on hear and many other forums. Is a top guy

Thats the price if you dont have a licence but I thought that it was only £200 or £250 for a re-map only if you already have the licence? Is that right?

I went for a simtek mate, £1200 with lc and als. Get rid of the maf which is a weak point on my99.
I travelled down to scoobyworld in Leicester and had JGM remap it.10hour round trip but well worth it.At the end of the day I would go with someone with e good scooby rep.

On a 99 car ecu is mappable. Without Ecutek the price you've quoted is right. If you already have the licence £250+ vat is about the norm.

Can vouch for Andy F one of the best mappers in the country.

Think that your mate will have to bite the bullit and go for the full re-map and buy the licence at the time of re-map because dont think that you can just buy a licence on its own, but am sure that someone ealse will clear this up for you

You'll have to pay the full wack for the license or try and find a second hand ecu which already has had an ecutek remap therefore the license is already paid for. But if you do this you will still have to get it remapped for your car

The licence will be on the ECU.
Next time you get the ECU mapped your mapper will see that it's licenced.

But for the first time you'll have to bite the bullit and pay the full whack I'm afraid.
