Lightbulb Interesting suspension issue, pls help.

Hi Guys

Was due to pic my car up from the garage today after having all my new suspension parts fitted but the front arb doesn't fit, I'm hoping someone on here could help me shed some light on this issue.

My car is a 2005 55 plate STI version 9, I have a 22mm whiteline arb code BSF36Z with KLC32 drop links. According to Whitelines website these are the correct parts for my car.
I have found out that my car was built in Nov 2004 just around the time the version 9 went on sale.

I'm told that for the 2005 v9 sti Subaru changed the Hubs to PCD 114.3 and the suspension legs and front arb changed at the same time. I have got BC coilovers for the 2005 model (they fitted) and 114.3PCD hubs.

The garage recon that due to my car being built in 2004 that I may have a 2004/version 8 STI arb fitted as standard and therefore need the whitleine part no. BSF33Z arb, for the version 8 STI.

So basicallyt I either have the v8 arb or the v9 whiteline part is faulty/damaged.

Has anyone had this problem or come accross anything similar?

Sorry for the long post and thanks for any help you can give me.

Regards

Chris
