Default Uni lambdas and specific ones

Guys,

Whats the difference between a lambda sensor made specifically for an impreza and the universal ones? Is it just the connector or is it more as I have burned through 3 uni ones.

Can you not rejoin the wires?

To answer your question.
The Bosch universal is the same except you have to cut the cables and join the old connector. Get it from Just Lambda, Suppliers of Bosch and NTK lambda sensors including zirconia and titania sensors by post for £47 delivered.

Don't get the cheap £37 ones off ebay, apparently they only last a few months.

As above, the uni one makes use of your old lamda plug. Mine cost £40 - £45 from the local motor factor.

Cheers guys, Yeah I can rejoin wires I just wondered if there was much difference in the lambda itself. Currently have the wores joined with male and female connectors to make it easier.

Bob PM sent.
