Subaru based sports car
#1
About 18 months ago I came across a web site showing a 2 seater sports car based upon a subaru drivetrain mid mounted and driving the rear wheels only.
I am searching for that site or someone who knows what became of that car as I am interested in building something similiar.
Thanks

No not the same, but thanks for the effort , the car I am thinking of had the engine mounted behind the seats and drive was to the back wheels only, ie they disconected the output shaft which normally drives the rear wheels in a std subaru.
It also had a roof and was red.
Thanks anyway

The Osella didn't leed to much... But I did find the Saker sprint built in New Zealand, Its not The car I remember but the concept is identical (except for the roof) Check it out at

I don't think Osella was quite right, it was something close and now I am in agony trying to remember it. I do remember it being Scoob-based and with a 2.5 litre legacy engine, I also remember it having an expected 50k price tag! Had some initials preceding it too - OCSA? It was featured in what I call the "Subaru sticky page edition" of Car Mag, possibly Dec 99, when they featured the new P1, the top scoob, the OSCA/OCSA, and something else subaru-related : maybe the car of the century award. Sorry, I don't have the mag with me.
