newage scoop removal

Default newage scoop removal

hi all, im going to be putting a v7 sti scoop on in the next few days..can anyone tell me how to remove the origional one... do i need to take off the undertray.. thanks

It's held on with nuts, IIRC the undertray is held on by a separate set of nuts so maybe necessary to remove it first.

Sorry it's been off for three or four years now !

Just undo the bolts from underneath the bonnet it's fairly obvious which are scoop and which are undertray.

Pozi screws for undertray and IC spray pipe,
Then 8mm nuts for scoop

i can see 3 nuts which are seperate from the under tray, 2 of them are white plastic which look like clips and the other is a nut. are there more than 3 holding it in place..if so then im guessing there under the under tray

you need to get the the clips under the sound proofing on bonnet aswell iirc.

there are 2 hidden under soundproofing either side.

few bolts and its jobs a fish. easy mate
