after trip to scooby clinic yesterday for geometery setup( done v well) got most of way home to rotherham n car got a tappin noise relative to speed of engine. semms to be comin from back left of engine bay, car still has what appears to be same power, however only been drivin cautiously, noise appears to be gettin worse n dunt sound cheap. anyone have any ideas as to what it could be, car is an 03 plate wrx with ppp, 58k on it n belt was done at 35k if this helps

ive no idea, but tapping isnt great,

Totally off cue but i had a diesal and mine taped no power loss, but after a while when i turned it over it ticked over badly, No engine lights though.

Turned out that after id mapped it, i hurt the Injectors thus 1 wasnt 100% thus fireing intermitent hence taps and engine noise. does it sound from within the engine or around it ?

Its its in then maybe log it with AA or whoever your with i did and they knew what it was

But i dont know scooby engines enough..
