NEW WRX and Fuels question
Ive seen alot of threads on this but nothing that talks about new WRXs.
is it the same for the 59 plates, Ive just bought 1 today WRX-S and wondered can i run it on normal fuel for my Long journeys or HAS IT got to be Super, just i know not all garages do super, and if your stuck for fuel ?
thanks
Whats run in period ? for a new 1 ?or can u thrape it once warm ?

was advised on my hatchback sti to keep the throttle below 3000rpm for the first 1000 miles with abit of varied acceleration up to the 3000rpm, so long as you keep if off boost i would say you could run it on normal unleaded but i dare bet if you open the fuel flap it will say 97ron only

Best & Worst of Both
I run my 09 Sti Hatch on a pure diet of super and have just switched from BP to Shell, will see how things go.
My 07 WRX that has to all intents and purposes the same 2.5l lump as your WRXs (it has been mapped with a Miltek exhaust) is run on bog standard petrol, usually ASDA as I use it as a comuter car. The car definateley is not as smoothe on the cheaper stuff, but with 8,000 miles on it seems to be running fine. I do put in the good stuff every few tank fulls, don't know why, probably guilt. The problem is that two tanks of super a week to get to work would mean no food for the kids.
Descisions Descisions.
