Default buying a used radiator?

Hey,
Local garage said I could do with a new radiator just wondering peoples thoughts on getting a used one or a new one? Normally Id go for a new one but with so many scoobs being broken surely I could get a good nick one for much less? Any reasons this could be a bad idea there are also upgrade radiators with a larger core are these of any real benefit?

Cheers Andy

Waste of time and money buying second hand when a new one can be had for £120 and an old one could be blocked.

The stock OEM rad is good for 500BHP

I'm sure you will get many people saying always buy new which is obviously the best option but i agree with you there are so many cars been broken its worth a look for a good second hand one.

bigger radiators equal better cooling has to be a good thing especially on cars running water cooled turbos

If you get one from a reputable breaker it wont be blocked.
