Default Where to advertise my car?

I've had it up for sale for just over 2 weeks now in Autotrader, ebay, pistonheads and gumtree, but only had one viewing from a young chav who I didn't think would be good for the money so I drove the car, said he thought it went really well, shook my hand for an agreed price and said he'd be back the next day with the money, he obviously didn't come back and just wanted a ride in a quick car.

Any ideas where else I can stick the car?

Its not where you are selling its how much your asking. Your looking for top dollar for your car so your going to have to wait it out.

Ask what you want but be prepared to wait or ask what you'll just about sleep at night for and it should sell quicker.

I put a friends 05 WRX low miles, lovely condition on PH for £6K and got one half a5rsed email and some bloke from Scotland offering 4.5K - Tw8t.

You really think I'm asking top money? I've seen worse examples go for more money on other forums.

I haven't seen an STI in white go for less money than I'm asking for, Maybe a plain version 3 in ****ty silver for about the same money I'm asking, I just don't get it.

Just as an example what other ones are going for on ebay: 1995 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX WHITE on eBay (end time 11-Oct-09 14:52:09 BST)
I actualy emailed the person before it sold to ask a few questions as I thought it might go cheap and found out the td05 was just a standard 16g (as I thought it would be), no dyno printout, hks ecu? and an engine rebuild for £1000? Yeah right!

For the extra £1100 they could have mine: Subaru Impreza STI V3 (1997) With Complete Facelift on eBay (end time 13-Oct-09 17:18:29 BST)

Makes mine look cheap if you ask me.

2 weeks isn't that long really. You've got all the main places covered already.

When you really need to sell and you still don't get any bite, you may need to revise what you are looking for.

Everything will sell for a price.

Autotrader, Pistonheads, LADSOC, Scoobynet should be enough.

I have sold loads of cars and there are a few things you should amend on your ad.

You don't mention, mileage, owners, service history, some fundamental points that are important to me.

You waffle about old men, compliments, suspension and tests you can carry out, which are all unnecessary in my opinion.

Keep the whole ad factual.
Include all modifications and power stats.
Include all important info.
Photo's in a nice setting.

Good luck

PS. I forgot to say that is a great looking Impreza in the best colour.

nice looking car mate and i have ti ask you this as i am sure you wanted 3600 for it and in all honesty if i went to see a car advertised at that i would hope / expect to get it for 3250/3400 or there abouts so your ebay ad at 3100 was not far from the mone you want but rather than be out of 200 quid you are now sitting on a car that you want to get rid of, in saying that it looks a top car and i would hold out for what you want to get for it, its only been two weeks so i would not worry mate very few cars sell within 5 minutes

Fair enough about the old men etc.

The suspension should be mentioned in my eyes as it may need replacing. I'd be pretty pissed off I turned up from a long drive to find it needed doing without being told first blah blah blah (some more waffling!)

Mileage was answered on the questions, service history was in the ad.
