248bhp Type RA & H20 = sideways driving nice (had 3year old in the back) following a slight bend in the road a few weeks ago , lucky the otherside of the road was clear, for 4wd cars they dont handle that great in the wet

Hoping its just my tryes, gettting some better rated ones fitted next week.

Imprezas don't handle well in the first place but they do grip well
Must be your tyres i've 300bhp Type R and with the crap tyres that were on it (Wanlis) it was fecking atrocious ,changed to Falken 452 and it grips sooooo well

they are AWD not 4WD, there is a diff, i thought same so went looking about net, cant remember what it was exactly, but think it was to do with the power distribution, where 4wd will power on n off, impreza stay flat out, lol

Not me. 245 tyres and no weight over the rear meant that I struggled to get anywhere last Winter. I didnt suffer like BMW drivers of course, but I think that that had more to do with their lack of any discernable driving talent......

Youre confusing handling and grip. Imprezas have a lot of grip, but when you run out of grip the handling isnt fantastic.

Yep mine are 17s and were £77 fitted and balanced,i would have got them off Camskill but the Wanlis (which were only a few months old) really did scare the **** out of me so wanted them change asap.
First impressions count and with the Falkens they gave a really good one

They are indeed 4wd as they have 4 external driven wheels (well at least on most Imprzea's) AWD just means all the wheels are driven so for example if it has 3 sets of wheels ie..6 then all 6 are driven. It it does not mean anything else and has nothing to do with power distribution etc.

i love the wet. i dont drive like a looney tune on a rampage but when i have a nice corner and its safe and clear, then i am normally looking out of my side windows! (private land of course)

320bhp sti v3 stripped with coilovers set solid and all strut braces with some neg camber makes for all the fun.

Been having lot's of fun in my bmw 328! Although it does need an lsd though. Problem with that is that I would have to ditch my traction control.

I have these fitted on the front of my 2.0 Corsa at the moment:

mytyres.co.uk - Details: Falken ZIEX ZE-912 195/65 R15 91H TH

For seemingly 'Budget' tyres i think they perform very well both wet and dry, i managed to get 4 (2 for the front of my car and 2 for rear of my mum's) for under £150 delivered a few months ago. They seem to do well in the tyre test as well against much dearer brands.

just don't get to spirited on the down shift as I once did, 'diff's said no' and locked all four wheels on me, 'somewhere' over the national speed limit, that was a brown trouser moment :}

I think the handling's great in the wet...

You just need to learn how to drive
