Possibly a little but I would not have thought it is that OTT. Have you got on Pistonheads & on here, got lots of interest and sold my MY99 very quickly that way a few months ago.

I am asking 3.5 for my standard one so I dont think you want to much. The price of classics is at a tricky stage, You can get one for £800 if you look around but there is a lot of tat about.
If you can hold on for the right deal then just stick it out.

i think that is a good price tbh with the mods that you have.

could it be worth putting back to standard and selling cheaper, then sell mods on?

a bit over priced for me personally, but would deff be selling it for 3200-3500 myself, it is a brill example of a classic and if i had the funds would deff be interested, like others have said, there dose seemto be alot of rubish going up for sale at the moment, but yours dose look v.nice, good luck with the sale

certainly very nice and i think its worth the money but looking around there are other cars that are cheaper, thats the problem with 4 door classics now there not worth anything due to there being loads and them starting to get a bad stigma as chav cars by some.

Alot off people will just think i can get a 2002 or newer wrx for that mate. As said grit your teeth and hold out.

I love this time off year as classics just get cheaper and cheaper till christmas summer is when they sell well for some reason

The trouble with ebay is people are expecting to get something for nothing at times. I don't think it's that much over-priced.

Seems about right, problem is with the collapse in bug eye prices people expect to pick up a well looked after classic for peanuts these days.

eg. offering me 1000 for a 3.5k car

telling me its not worth what id listed it at . (mint my99 328 sport ,full m3 evo black vadar interior , 19"alloy rims with new mich pilots, chipped and running 312 bhp)

arguing that their brother is a bmw dealer and he knows his bms and he will only offer 900 quid cause it is not in good cond without looking at it lol

As above. Price seems right, Ebay buyers will want it for nothing. Get it on Pistonheads for some genuine interest.

Were you expecting to account for ebays rip off fees? No disrespect but if you put that up on pistonheads for 3495 it should fly off.

Thats a decent price mate its just the wrong time to be selling .....my bro sold he's 280bhp 96 WRX last year for £4700, it was stunning and had alot of mods but its that old saying "you get what you pay for"

When i look at cars i skip past the cheap ones, id rather pay 1 to 2k more and get a minter than shell out 2.5k for it to need a 3k engine build 6mths later because its not been looked after, hold your ground, garages are still selling classics for over 4k
