What colour smoke?
White?
Blue?
Black?
If it's blue then possible oil seal on turbo, valve stem seals or piston rings.
Not only is the colour vital information, but also when it does it and if it is still doing it.
Hard to tell without more information tbh.

crf450r,
From what you have suggested it is just condensation. DON'T WORRY! If it was your HG's gone, you would be losing water, having temperature issues, blowing water out of your header tank overflow. If your water level does not go down, you have no temperature issues or water is not being pushed out of the header tank overflow.... you are fine!
HG's are going to be any where between £700-£1000, to do properly.

OK.... if the water is down an inch to what it normally is, it must be going somewhere.
I would suggest you get it checked by a reputable Subaru Specialist as soon as you can. *IF* it is the headgaskets that have caused the coolant loss (which needs to be investigated), continuing to drive the car and causing temperature issues could eventually cause more problems. Drive off boost to a specialist and have it looked at..... if only for your piece of mind. Keep positive as it could be something else.
Good luck!

bit of an update went for a little drive about 20 mins off boost no smoke.
before i went i topped water up to see if it drops on the full mark got back left it for 15 mins started it and again same white smoke for a few seconds. but the strange thing is the water level is now an inch ABOVE the full mark, what do you think??
