classic prodrive bilstiens seized?
Hi,
I have the prodrive suspension on my 99 classic which are the bilstien struts and eibach springs.
When i jack up the rear of the car the struts extend as you you would expect, but on the one side one of the struts doesn't quite extend to its full travel and i can push down on the rear wheel, (while the wheel is in the air), about 2 inches to extend the strut to its full travel as if it has stuck in a particular place?
The suspension has only done about 5000 miles in 3 years as the car was not used for a period of time
Now does this mean the struts are kaput or seized? and if not could i give them back some life with a bit of the old wd40 or get them serviced?
The ride is proper hard on this set up which i understand is how it is meant to be but i feel the back end could be a touch suppler with a bit of maintenance, on the front end there is a bit of travel and bearable but the back is very crashy?
Any help very welcome, thanks matt
