ANYONE RUNNING 400+BHP AS A DAILY DRIVER???
Im considering getting a modded Impreza possibly a Type R Im interested in one that is running just over 420bhp and 400lb ft torque.
Any of you guys running that kind of power as an every day car?
If so what kind of spec is it,clutch, turbo ect

depends alot on the person to be honest,i have used my version 6 ra every day for 2years now with no bother but was used to a even more extreme car before!so like i said depends on you and what your used to! one thing that can spoil a road car though is the clutch if its very grabby so check that first,my ap paddle clutch can be a pain some times, apart from that go for it lol

driving it every day is fine - its more how long it will last if you put a high mileage on it as its obviously more stressed than a standard one.
FB
450bhp / 380 ftlb P1/type R
Edit to say spec is a long one but single plate AP organic racing clutch is as easy as an OEM one so you don't need paddle clutches at that level, although a twin plate may make sense

Not as a daily driver per se, as I don't need to, but will be doing a round trip to the EU of 1000+ miles next month if that helps! Well over 500bhp.

Helix twin plate organic in mine. Nice and progressive, good for around 500/500 I believe. Really easy to use on a daily driver (although mines not 400+...yet )
Mine has an issue that no one else that uses it seems to though - the biting point is almost down on the floor, causing some gear crunching when changing if you're not careful.

I have a Cusco Twin Plate, which is exactly the same as the Exedy one. Mine is as quiet as a mouse, but I have heard some and they rattle their **** off. Strangely enough, mine has got much more compliant with use. Having done circa 13k miles on it, it seems have broken in now! Has certainly coped with my torque and full bore standing starts no sweat..... so far.
