Default 11.63 1/4 Mile on a Stock Turbo

Ran at japshow yesterday hoping to beat kev's 11.9 run in my car at Scooby shootout and ended up running a 11.63 @ 115mph and winning the subaru RWYB class

Basic spec is V5 type R with a standard JDM STI 9 engine/intercooler/manifold/turbo (vf37) 6 speed box all supplied and fitted by scoobyclinic and solaris ECU mapped by Pat.

Car runs on E85 fuel and was running full trim on yokohama nova road tyres.

i know Bob has gone 11.7 on stock turbo (TD05 16g) as anyone else gone quicker?

UK, European & World record?

It's a seriously impressive car for saying the drivetrain is all standard, just from different MYs. This is the same car that took me to 5th in the ScoobySprint championship this year, so a true all rounder and not just a drag car

Great time. Would be good to hear what power it's running.

Sounds like a good bit of driving as well.

Congrats Mikee, may be along to play too next year if I ever get my engine finished

don't think Bob was running E85, he was on standard internal and a 16g so 340 iirc...I'm sure he will be along soon enough

thanks

i think power is just under 370bhp with similar torque, going to get clinic to put car on dyno this saturday as the last dyno pull had correction on due to high intake temps.

car was running full trim, air con, heavier 6 speed box. still had spare tyre, tools and other junk in boot. hoping to try and run a little quicker next weekend with some better tyres and empty boot.

ian, be intresting to see how your engine works out with avcs heads, im sure bobs car was on v-power and 10% meth.

I don't think E85 was invented when Bob set his time He was using VPower plus Methanol & OB from memory

put some drag tyres on it and get some 1.5 60 foots and you will see a low 11! Put a ppg 5 speed in with flat shift and you might go better still!

Well done Mikee, very impressive time with some more to come by the look of the 60fts - I expect low 11s is on the cards without the junk and a good start

Just goes to show that you don't need massive bhp to go fast

It's been a while since I've been on the strip, I've probably forgotten which direction to run in Will give you a bell later in the week for a natter.

Cheers Dougie

P.s BOB'5 aint never got that time with a straight 340 on a Tdo516g !!! and he knows it

Dougie: Don't be a plonker.

Mikee: Can't this Sunday as car needs a map at the moment. Next spec is underway though to hit 10s (2.35ltr + GT30R)

a vf37 wont make 370 on vpower and meth and its cheaper and less hassle to run e85

boost is arround 1.45bar droping to 1.1 bar at top

ive seen bob run 12.1/12.2 back to back about 4/5 years ago with crap 60ft so 11.7/11.8 possible with better 60ft (i only managed arround 11.5 then with 450bhp)

My mapper has mapped a vf 37 setup in a rallycross car and got 398/398 on Vpower at 1.75 bar, thats why I was asking cause im sure more could be made and obviously your time is very quick for a 370 bhp car.

Youve just made my point exactly you only got 11.5 with 450bhp and I bet your 60fts were good so just cant see with 110 bhp less Bob5 is going to get 11.7

What craps that then paul, I have spoke to my mapper and I have made a mistake the power on vpower was 384 of each not 398 as I first thought. But as far as the drag times go I'm fed up with saying they've got a time with less power than they have just to make the time better than really is.

Bob has gone on and about that time for years and has no proof , ie a ticket, if I was so proud I would have kept it as I have done my fastest slip.

Sorry i mis informed dougie the figures were 384/388 on vpower, never the less in my eyes the car isnt under 370 espcially on e85. i do hope the above ''crap'' comment wasnt aimed at me.....
