Hi mate,

The STI is always considered the best model, has better suspension, engine, gearbox, interior etc in most cases. A newage STI will handle 330bhp pretty easy but on a WRX that's pretty much the limit before internals etc will need changing plust to get to 330bhp on a WRX you need STI injectors, turbo etc anyway.

on the other hand.........

Check exactly what rebuild API has done. My API rebuild is a fully forged 500+bhp WRX engine (with an STI block though)

Lastly........

I bought my WRX in 2002 because it was cheaper than an STI, most parts in the car now are from an STI or aftermarket, I kinda wish I had just bought the STI in the first place.

Hope this helps a little.

Andy
