Default where to fit knock sensor

hi there all i am stuck where to fit the knock sensor from my knock link so i am in need of your help if you can please many thanks stephen pics would be nice

Sorry, no pics, but: look down onto the engine block, near side, rear. You will see an 8mm bolt or a tapping for one. The bolt you neeed is M8 x20 iirc.

It helps access to remove the intercooler

Ive bolted mine ontop of the inlet on the right hand side, TBH it don't make a difference where it is long as its on the engine.

Up to a point - close to the valve gear is not a good idea and somewhere that isn't insulated by a non metallic gasket?
The position described is fine and can be reached without removing the intercooler as long as you haven't got hands like King Kong!

Me ? Mine works fine, the only false alarm I get is when it's bouncing off the limiter, OPPS !
