Hi all

Just got the car tax renewal through for the cars today and was expecting the new reduced rate on the other half's Polo as announced in the last budget.

Anyone one know when it starts and is it only for cars below 1300cc?

Is this another Gov rip off (knowing them they'll announce it again in this budget to make you think you've had two reductions).

Chris.

I thought it was due to take place in either March or April.

How much is a sub 1100cc supposed to be now then?

Same with the girlfriends 1.2 Punto. Still came through as £155 per year.

Robski

I've just found the DVLA web page and it says it will be starting in July 2001 with rebates back to Nov 2000.(up to 1500cc)

I'll now go straight to the muppet forum for being stupid and not looking on their web page in the first place.

Chaps

My other half has just received her green slip of death through from the DVLA. It has her tax renewal down as £57 for 6 months, cant remember how much for 12 months. I'm fairly sure this is a reduction as I used to pay £85 for 6 months. She has a Clio 1.2. This seems dear to her though as it is the first tax she has had to pay for - she had a 1971 Beetle before, tax exempt

However she is a student teacher so not sure if that affects it??

I received a form from the DVLNI telling me I was entitled to a rebate for a tax disc on one of my lorries. I filled it in and they sent me a cheque for £650. A very welcome suprise.
This happened just a few weeks ago. I dunno about cars.
