Default which engine

i blew my type r last night i think it broke a piston or rod i want to upgrade to a 2.2 2.3 or 2.5 which is the best and strongest i can go for i am goin to go down the road of forged piston rods etc could any1 give me some advise the car already has a walbro 255 pump apexi power fc mapped by andy f bigger injectors think they were 660cc not sure fuel regulator front mount i/c etc im just wondering which would be the best block to go for and even if any knew were i could buy an assembled short block thanks

2.33 or 2.35, but its more expensive than a 2.5, or go for a 2.1, it all depends on your budget, then look at a new clutch (decent brakes if you dont already have them) possably a new gear box as the 2.3 or 2.5 will just eat yours... or stick to a 2ltr.

I think it's a case of how deep are your pockets, then decide.

As above, decide your budget and then speak to one of the reputable specialists (my recommendation is David at APi) about what you can achieve for your money.

sry guys had no internet there for a bit i have now bought a 2.5 waiting on rods and pistons coming going to rebuild it so its new i believe now i need a 6speed gear box with dccd as the 2.5 will eat mine as said in the above post i cant seem to find 1 at a decent price a guy ask me 2k for 1 the other day what price do they usually make
