not much joy in the technical section
Sorry if this has been covered before, but i have had little joy with the search function. and by now i am sure there are new people who would like to know the details.
it is a front mount question. please dont shot this down as some real time advice would be very much appreciated.
this is directed more for the guys running big'ish power but any views welcome.
i am looking into a fmic for the t25. there are loads of options and choices but these all come with very different price tags.
for example as i am sure you know but here goes a Hybrid GT2 or similar if around £330-£350 depending on where you go, soemthing like an APS or HyperFlow is £1000+
i dont want to sound tight but i dont see the point in over spending just for names sake, if they are better then fair enough it will be added to the list, just if there not then there is £700 to play with on oil coolers, baffled sump, paralell fuel rails etc which i would of thought would be money better spent then just on the fmic if there are no real gains, so are the hyperflows really worth that much more than the hybrid's?
i think they are rated to the same bhp figures, and i have had a hybid fitted on a uk turbo which i bought a few years back but have long ago sold the car on and the build quaility seemed fine to me (be it an un-trained eye).
do you really get any extra performance, cooler charge temps, able to run more boost etc, or are you really just paying for the brand name.
any personal experiance and advice would be great especialy from guys running in time attack, scoobyshoutout, 450bhp+ builds etc
cheers
steve

Here is a picture I took of a hybrid FMIC next to my APS dr725 FMIC. The end tamks on the hybrid are far smaller than the APS one as well. I originally bought the hybrid but never fitted it and went with the APS instead. All of the FMIC fits in mu bumper and I don't have to drill holes into the bumper like other have to due to the core being hidden. I was going to run my aquamist water injection system as well as the APS fmic but I have been told by mappers that I don't need it due to have the larger FMIC
