cant decide on new colour............
Ok my wrx wagon has been looking sorry for itself since i bought it and now the mods are done and all mechanicals are up to scratch its time for paint..
The only trouble is i cant decide what colour, at the mo its silver but want something different, first choice was black (as the windows are now all tinted) then i thought white but thought it might look boring, then the grey most of the late classic rb's were painted (still an option) but i'm now drawn towards a metallic burgundy like peugeot diablo red keeping black bonnet and roof
here's how it looks now, the wheels are going satin gunmetal

Grey, especially if your going with a black bonnet & roof. Will also come off nice if you stick to doing the wheels in gun metal.

was about to say mica red like the car above, as there are few around in that colour. also looks good with some carbon thrown on.
if not second choice would be steel grey

The classic above isn't mica red its a one-off candy red which looks similar to mica red but is actually quite a bit darker oh and nicer.

That red has really taken me, the main reason i thought about that colour is that i,ve only seen a couple in metallic red and thought it'd be different

Yeah, its probably the best colour I've seen on a classic, and tbh I've only seen one in that colour. I thought it was mica red as well, but wasn't sure - reckon BioForger is right and its a one-off paint colour. I'm sure there's a paint shop somewhere that can match it though

Ask maddoc if he is still around, he's the owner of that classic. Iirc it was a house of colors mix in the states that did it.

If you start going for candy paints your painter will want a lot more than £800 to do it. They are notoriously hard to use.
