im currently thinking about buying a Subaru WRX STI....dont no to much about them and what problems to look for...but iv seen this one and really like it...what you guys think???

yes i know its an import!

i really like it as well....was hopeing to find one a bit more standard tho...as didnt want a Modded up for which had been well Abused!!!

so whats the common Faults to look for on them?

are they 260BHP standard the imports or are they more???

Nice in white,UK car's are 260 standard JDM are around 280 BHP

oh rite...i thought there would of been a Differance...!!

also just noticed the MOT and tax is away to run out...would that not put u off the fact the MOT is just away to run out?

with all the Mods he has on it tho..would anybody have a Rough EST....what the BHP is now???? cheers

I wouldn't think that there would be much wrong with it anyway with that mileage and age but i would still ask the seller to MOT it first.

Find out if its been mapped for all those mods, and changing the manifold, no real need on these, they have one of the best engines ever produced by subaru but also find out who services this car, they are 6 month/7.5k service intervals with the gearbox (A-DCCD) oil changed every year, very few people do either so be warned.

just phone the Cars MOT till 5 2010 n same with tax!! very missleading if u ask me haha!!!

he said it hasnt been Mapped....but rekons its about 320-330 BHP...!!!

looks like i could be going for this.... really wanted a UK spec as im only 21 but i can afford the insurance ,just ....lol!!!!

Imprezas are in general about the only car where if it is modified it is likely to be in better order than a standard car IMO. There are of course different degrees of modified (i.e. mildly upgraded, chaved up and tuner/track car). You are naive if you think any used Impreza has not been driven hard at some stage. It is how they are maintained that is important.

That one looks like a nice clean example.

I'd expect that to be mapped. Knock around £500 off asking price as you will ideally need it mapped and that is what an ECUTek map will set you back.

How come it doesn't have the defi gauges? Or did not all JDM's have them?

Mmmm i dont no about them!!!

i thought all cars from japan didnt have rear wipers??? this one has a rear wiper????

Other way round mate. JDM's do have a rear wiper and UK's don't.

lol thats weard!!! Im well into my Hondas.....its ither between this or a Dc2....im going to buy!!!

All jap import ek9-dc2/dc5 dont have rear Wipers....!!! ah well lol!!!
