Has anyone put a 6 speed gearbox and diff into an earlier wrx/sti using the R180 diff etc?? If you have how did you reduce the spline on the rear driveshafts to marry upto the smaller hubs Thanks

I think you will find that you need the hubs to go with the R180 set up so that you have the larger wheel bearings to take the driveshafts.

Thanks Phil, but i want to shy away from changing the hubs as the pcb goes from 100 to 114 on the 07 sti. Plus suspension brakes etc etc...
I'd like a driveshaft with the cv of the 07 at the diff and the cv of the wrx 02 going to the hub. It can't be that bad surely
The spec B legacy uses the R180 diff and standard wrx hubs but the shafts are longer!!
The front driveshafts are running on the original shaft with stub inserts. and I'm running the R160 3.54 diff (standard) with the rear, having changed the prop hub off the R180 to the R160 so the prop will connect. But I'd like to runn with the R180 or is the R160 as good??
