Unhappy

Why is it that whenever another BBS posts a thread saying how slow, poor ,crap etc the Impreza is a whole load of scoobynetters wade in like the school bully and his gang coming to duff up the little kid?

Sure, have a laugh at some of the comments(koni cav's etc) but please don't go piling in. It make us all look like a load of immature muppets who can't stand anyone saying anything bad about our cars.

Evo's have their pros and cons, as do vectras, Saabs, 172's etc and shock horror even impreza's.

Only one company makes nearly the perfect car and that company starts with an F and ends in a ri, and even then they get it wrong sometimes.

So lay off the littler BBS's will ya

Spot on Neil

I often wonder how poorly we're perceived by other car enthusiasts, and how much of it do we bring on ourselves.
Shouldn't we be big enough not to rise to the bait?

I love my car, but it ain't perfect and it ain't the best.

So what?

Do you really care?

Me neither...

Rich

I agree every car has pros and cons..............but the only company that makes perfect cars begins in F and nd in ri??? I don't agree with that there are alot of other cars out there that deserve that title!!

There is no such thing as a perfect car! And surely not a Ferrari! But a lot of cars are faster than a Scooby. However, most are slower!!

A perfect car??
Thats like a perfect woman....purely subjective
You wouldnt wade into a "Leg mans" site and start arguing the toss errmm no pun intended
Cars are simply there to provide each and every one of us with as near to our idea of what we want as we can achieve, and that changes throughout our life dependent upon finance and situation.
I love my P1....but its only as good to me as some young guys max powered Nova....I admire anyone who enjoys cars and tries (within their budget and desire) to create something a little bit different
Vive la difference
Mind you...what would I know....Im just a girl!

I must agree with all your comments. I`m a new Scooby owner and must admit that this car has bought a long lasting smile to my lips like no other in a long time. In the past I have driven some fast machinery, I`m an owd bugger see and was brought up on Lotus Cortina`s...I said I was old..But I can see no point in bickering or raising to the bait over such trivial comments from whatever quarter, such as my vectra/supra/saab is better/faster than your Scoob. Any response to inane comments such as this does nothing in my opinion to further the standing of Scooby owners. Just my twopenneth.
regards to you all, Bob

Blimey Sue, you shouldn't admit that! It's so embarrasing for a lady to let everyone know how old you

're dad's car was when he first bought it

Standard Flying Twelve, Jowet Javelin....Austin Atlantic......drifts into a nostalgia filled sepia coloured dream.

I drive an Impreza now and i'm king of the road.
My last car was a 306 Rallye and i was king of the road.
My first car, when i was 17, was a Ford Granada 2.8 and i was...you guessed it...king of the road.
Everyone's always gonna get defensive when it comes down to what they're driving but that doesn't make them childish. Most of the digs/comments on here are light hearted anyway (or am i just taking them that way?)
Tell you what...everybody sing along...
If you're happy and you know it honk your horn...
If you're happy and you know it honk your horn...
If you're happy and you know it,
And you really want to show it,
If you're happy and you know it honk your horn! <parp parp>

I have driven in and been a passenger in a lot of cars. Some were good and some were bad and some were just studenty heaps . I dont have to justify my car to anyone, well okay I do but only after a few beers down the pub with the lads . Everyone that has been in it is impressed with it and it still puts a on my face. I am happy with my choice isnt that the main thing. The list just gets bigger with other owners BBS. To name but a few RS/LTR/Corsa/SAAB and now the Vectra. Is there a Lada BBS anywhere just incase they are talking about us, anybody elses ears burning ???

cheers

chris

Cool

My last impreza I had it for two years and covered 10K miles in it. In that time it had :

1000 mile
7500 mile
15000 mile
22500 mile
30000 mile

5 services in 10000 miles and including the running oil 6 sets of oil

Interesting though I didnt find out till I sold it that you can agree special servicing with IM if you do lower mileages .

Perhaps an EVO then as I may keep the schedule easier

Has anyone actually worked out how many services an evo 7 requires if you keep to its tight servicing schedual? (ie from new to 30k/3 yrs) compared to the STi7?

STi7, 4 services to 30k/3 yrs
evo7, 11 services 30k/3 yrs

now thats taking into consideration the 1k service, the 4.5k service for the AYC and the 7.5k service intervals for the engine! OUCH!
look evo7's do have a downside

(sorry im bored )

Tony
