Default standard wrx boost pressure

can anyone tell me what the standard max pressure should be on a bog standard 53 blob wrx.
i was speaking to my mate the other day who said it should be 1.5 bar. My boost guage is only showing a max boost of 1 bar.

I think that this may be due to the plastic tube being crushed by the dash when it was installed (not by me). before I start fiddling with it can anyone tell me what the correct max boost pressure should be.

Actually i will probably start fiddling with it anyway but it would be good to know.

Cheers

Fent

0.9 bar, your mate doesnt know anything then because a highly modified wrx would be 1.5 bar

With the PPP map (PPP fitted but nothing else) my 03 blob wrx max pressure was 1.2bar

Until the actuator on the turbo actuator broke and it decided to boost to 1.3. When it did that the ECU cut the fuel supply and went into safe mode.

Currently have a VF34 and running 1.2 bar max - I suspect things would break at 1.5 bar!

So it is about right then.
My mates car is running an extra 75 bhp more than mine so that may account for his high 1.5 bar figure.

Cheers chaps.
