Default Missus got pulled by police for driving whilst using her phone!!!!

Missus got pulled by the police yesterday, got caught using her mobile phone, was shocked to find out that when asked why she had been pulled over and she replied "because I was using my mobile phone while driving" The copper said at least you was honest, as most people try to deny it. And for being honest I wont be giving you a fine and points on your license!!!

She has learned her lesson now, but fair play to the coppers for just giving her a warning, as I thought it was a defo 3 points and a fine!!!!!

thats not really worth bragging about is it

peoples lives are lost by this

she is very lucky as if i had been that copper i wouldnt of let her off

people should see the mess that the police and emergency services see from people using there phone and causing accidents

if you ask me, people should be banned from driving for this offense

As a daily commuter on a motorcycle, I hope they throw the book at everyone selfish and irresponsible enough to use their mobiles, change their CD, play with their satnav or themselves etc... whilst driving. Sorry, I'm not normally uppety and self-righteous about people stretching the laws, but this really pisses me off.

She was on the phone to the boyfriend and he was telling her how he was going to get up on her and give her a large fat one. Check her panties.

It should be an instant ban using a mobile while driving - that would soon stop the selfish, dangerous, idiotic act!

Lucky they never saw me the other week doing 150mph down the M6 whilst texting on my phone and eating my KFC!!!!!

scoobyboy1 - they dont normally give warnings but copper must have been in a rush to get off and have his/her tea. lucky warning anyway as not just the 3pts and £60 its the average 33% increase in premiums that hit home. I hit the parrot bluetooth as soon as I seen the risks, and for £150 some of them are fab.

Enjoy your KFC mate.

ScoobyNet police related threads are quality.

If someone gets a ticket for soemthing it's "all coppers are tw@ts, nothing better to do, no real criminals to catch" etc etc

If someone gets words of advice it's "can't believe they let them off, couldn't be bothered with the paperwork, neglected their duty" etc etc

Ever get the feeling you can't win?

Is it a specific offence now then, or is it "Driving without due care and attention, which would probably cover, stereo fiddling, make up, eating and sat nav sorting ???

There's an offence of not being in proper control of the vehicle, which is 3 points and £60, probably more fitting than due care

I think it is pretty funny how all the critics appear and say you should and do this and that. At the end of the day, been on your phone while driving is not acceptable and is dangerous. But unless they make the rules for police also people will continue to break the law.
The police have a hard enough job I am sure but they don't make it easier on themselves when I have seen loads of them on mobiles whilst driving police cars. It does not matter what driving training you have had it is still the same for everyone else.
As for:
"As a daily commuter on a motorcycle, I hope they throw the book at everyone selfish and irresponsible".
I always make room for motorcycles etc, but it does not make it right that the go in the middle of two lane traffic to beat queues. Whilst it is not as dangerous as been on the phone. It is still dangerous and if some one pulls out your aint going to stand much chance.
Every one breaks the law at some point, some more than others and generally the worse people for this are the people that we call the POLICE, difference is they generally get away with it.
Some time ago, I was pulling on to the motorway, aprox 65 ish, then a guy in a punto and think it was would not move over to middle lane to let me in, when he could have quite easily done so. Instead of braking to get on to the motorway I dropped it a gear to get in front of him, but did not cut him up.
About a second later he was at the side of me beeping his horn. I looked across to see he was point to his arm where he had his police badges on.

I hate it when I see selfish ***** on the mobile whilst driving. Should be no points but a £10,000 automatic fine. End of. See how many people do it then.

Before the ban, my Dad used to use the phone whilst driving, even though he had a perfectly good hands free kit. It got to the stage when I was actually changing gear for him as he was rabbiting on! Scared the hell out of me.

I dont think the 3 points on ur licence is fair ! its a money making scheme. A big fine should do the trick. You cant do anything these days without being punnished !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least she didnt have 2 kids in baby seats in the back and was leaning over giving them toast off a plate, whilst drinking her brew like i seen this morning. You,d be amazed what you see driving a wagon and looking out for women in stockings,or just nice legs, folk on laptops, people eating a full breakfast with proper diggers, reading books, then you,ve got the ********* who put fog lights on at the least spot of rain(my pet hate)there called foglights for a reason, get them off.and motorbikes with main beam on as well,i,m not f**kin blind, well i wasnt till you came towards me,i could go on and on,so being on the phone eating a kentucky at 150mph is almost sensible

Quick Reply: Missus got pulled by police for driving whilst using her phone!!!!
