Default No more model reports or ESVA test for imports ?

Does anyone know the score ,just popped in to WH Smith`s and picked up new issue of Redline who state in a big feature (ALTHOUGH NO dvla details) that this is now the case if car has a "shaken" jap MOT type certificate and its valid a tuned car can be brought into the uk already modified ???

S202 etc could come straight into The UK ??? YUM

It wont require a model report but I believe it will still require an ESVA as the car will need to conform to UK standards (fog light, MPH conversion, legal tyres etc).

So in essence, it's much easier to get a car registered from Japan in the UK?

Yes its now changed to IVA so no model report needed, making life a little easier when importing.
