Question Cost of a new clutch MY00 UK..North West

As above really.....

Would it be an idea to get an uprated item? I don't want to have a heavy pedal and it will only be used for just above 300 bhp.

I was thinking that a standard clutch + all in would be about £300? Anyone used Powerstation for this? Any other reccomendations?

Thanks

Alan

I bought an Excedy kit off ebay for £130 ish, a garage near Newcastle offered to fit it for me for £100, i'll try and find contacts if any good to you?. However there are people on ebay now offering a kit and fitting service for £265 onwards, see below link:

You may have to replace more than the clutch (ie flywheel if worn) so budget for a little more, and Bob'5 has a group buy on proper exedy clutches for a very reasonable price

Thanks for the input guys

Tony i won't be doing it for a little while otherwise i'd sort one from Bob..i did think about the flywheel issue as even now it shows some of the tell tale signs of wear.Is a Clutch and Flywheel kit a lot more than just a clutch kit?? I've heard of problems with uprated clutch kits also involving judder etc..this is putting me off as i don't drive flat out and would rather have a smooth drive with a light clutch rather than it being able to take huge power.

Think those clutches don't give you the judder like the standard ones, I did ask Bob what sort of torque they are good for, very similar to the standard ones (300ish lbs) but your best talking to Bob on that one and see what he can do on the flywheel too
