Unhappy question about brakes help

when i bought my subaru impreza 1993 import it had been standing nearly a year and the two rear brakes are knackered they need replacing one on the front is good but the drivers side brake i dont know if its salvageable. if the caliper will grab the disc when i put my foot on the brake but it doesnt fully release. is there anything i can do or do i need to replace the caliper?
