Default advice on a £5k impreza....

hi i'm kinda new here, seems to be full of good people too,at the end of the month when i sell my T4 i'm gonna be looking for an impreza to play with with a budget of £5k....if you could recommend the best one for that sort of money,i'm not bothered by running costs as its only a toy,i used to have a ptp elise which was quick but had to give that to my ex-wife,it seems theres a few to choose from in that budget, but i'm leaning towards a '97 ish sti,as theres loads to choose from and they seem tunable on a budget i've driven a uk spec r plate one but it seemed to suffer bad turbo lag and also a P1 which was fairly quick but out of my price range....recommendations please
cheers

You can get a STi Type R for that sort of budget if you shop around, similiar to the P1 but better

Mine can be had for £5K. A bit less if you hurry. You'll notice the difference over the P1 if it was standard

I'm going to take it off the market soon so be quick
