I'm going on Tuesday. Send me a reminder next week and I'll let you know as much as I can. We're booked into the Solanof...or sounds something like that.

Try either the Burgstube run by Martin or the Ringhaus.
To be honest id be surprised if you could get availability at short notice as i would say it will be booked up by now.
For the first time this yr im camping at tthe AM Nurburgring site.

Hotel am Tiergarten

Sabine Schmitt's family owns it.

Also, this resteraunt is suppose to be amazing. Especially the 'make yourself steaks' GALLERY>> PISTENKLAUSE AT THE NURBURGRING - Speedhunters

Believe me, you will struggle to find a place this late in the season.
I usually book about 5-6 months in advance if i know im going in a fairly peak time and even then the hotels are 75% full or reserved.
The Pistonklause is awesome, i think over time ive consumed a whole cow in there

Try here,
Hotel An Der Nordschleife

Great location overlooking Breidscheid.I've stayed here for the last four years.
If your lucky Eddie might have an apartment or room available.
It's only a 5min walk from Adenau itself,where there's a few different eateries..italian,etc

Thought the PK in Nurburg was overrated myself, took the missus and kids for a meal there last year,it was nothing special, prefer Pinocchios Italian in Adenau.
Think you might struggle though,we book our trips as soon as the TF dates are released and even then you can struggle to get somewhere
You could also try CentreParcs,it's about a 10min drive from The 'Ring

View from hotel

Thanks guys, I'm don't mind stopping an hour or two away. Can't camp tho' cos my 2 month old boy might play-up!!

Just got to say that kids love the sound of a burbling flat four, mine goes straight to sleep when the scooby fires up!!

Thanks again.

Just had a quick look on Centreparcs for you, gonna cost you about 850euros for a week(24th July on).
It's a 10-15min drive from The 'Ring through some lovely countryside and also past Lidl for some cheap booze!!

View from the room

View from Lidl carpark!!

Kept the kids amused for hours, even let them beat me(helped that I was under the influence of a few Bittburgers!!)

Let us know if you find anywhere outside the Ring as I was planning to take a trip over on my next leave at the end of the summer with a few mates.

Im out there August 21st-24th.
Ill be in a White! type RA.
Going with a BMW E28 M5 track car, E36 M3 Evo and a tweaked Saab 9000 Aero.

Ringhaus is good but the owner of the Burgstube is English and the rooms and general place is much nicer than the Ringhaus.
Pays your money and takes your choice...

Agreed.
Dont get me wrong Frank and Co at the Ringhaus are great but out of preference id go to the Burgstube everytime.
Oh and its much closer to the Village if you want to eat in the Pistenklause!

frank and co are miserable f***wits who never return your calls, emails, messages or anything until you get there in the distinct doubt that you have a room booked at all

Martin and Heidi FTW !

Great hosts, fantastic location and rooms and Heidi's mum's cakes are to die for

theres a place in herschbroich called pension muhlenhardt, its owned by a PROPER nice guy called edgar,,,,, seriously good family who really looked after us, they got a few garages with pits and moved there family cars out of them to let us use the garages, we just dumped the tools and worked on them when needed

its between Adenau and Nurburg so its nice to warm the car up in the morning OR to get something to eat if you dont like the german breakfasts you get there

as said its a PROPER nice place, guy who owns it is a diamond and its why we use them every year, i used to stay and the Zurburg,,,,, thats also a nice hotel but there prices seemed to go up alot since i first went there and they dont have garages to use and last time they put me on the 3rd floor where i had to carry the tools up and down the stairs which was more than a pain !!

I'm at the ring on the 28th August - would be good to say hello if anyone on here is going to be there over this bank holiday weekend.

Would also be interesting to hear about any laptimes - I know it can be a touchy subject but all the same still interesting to know how people get on.
