RACTrackstar Protector with lifetime subs - Finance offer of £78 deposit + £23.5 per month for 36 months including installation.

This seems to be a good offer but should I take it up or look for alternatives.

Bought a five month old WRX Saturday but the Subaru dealer is frigging me around a little bit - was s'posed to have Tracker Retrieve fitted tomorrow (now it seems not) and Insurers wont cover me for theft until a tracker is fitted.

Ideas/Comments/suggestions please

There are plenty of places which will fit you a tracker retrieve have a look for the authorised tracker installers in your area:

Adrian Flux have been the cheapest for me for the last two years with car parked on road and they do not require a tracker.

Depends if you want one or can live without.

I personally would not want the car back if it was stolen so I opted to save me money.

Thanks, I've seen the Tracker site and RAC Trackstar (where they have the details of the finance offer). I also found one site referring to Trakbak - the spec looked excellent and even had a hijack upgrade where they let them take the car and then remotely immobilise it a few miles down the road - but I couldnt find prices or the site again.

One thing for sure, with no garage I need something QUICKLY. Temporary theft cover runs out tomorrow in lieu of Retrieve which was supposed to go in tomorrow, but now looks doubtful.

CAUTION

The RAC Trackstar with the £23.50 is a great deal, BUT if you want to change your vehicle during the 3year contract you will NOT be able to transfer your tracker lifetime monitoring subscription. So you will still have to pay for it.

You can however have the tracker unit transfered to your new vehicle at a cost of about £150.

EBRWRX can you e-mail me please as seeing as you are an Essex lad like myself I need to warn you of something.
