Hi,

OK, would anybody like to show their car at this year's Doncaster national custom and sports car show.
It's the first big show of the year and is on par with TRAX without the track sessions.

I have been asked again by the Mitsubishi Lancer Club, if I would like to attend on their stand at this years Doncaster national custom and sports car show along with other Subaru owners.
They would like about 5-6 Subaru's to fill their allocation.

Because of this ( it's the third year the MLR have invited us scoobies along) I have contacted John Baldock the SIDC Social secretary if it is possible for the SIDC to have a stand this year.

So, there is two options (depending on which one comes through)

Option 1.
5-6 cars required for the Saturday and Sunday to share the MLR's stand, it would be segregated so we will not "actually" be on their stand, it would be our own.(Hopefully I can get a Banner of somekind, Scoobynet or SIDC!!!)

Option 2.
Providing we get an SIDC Stand, will probably require 15 cars for both the Saturday and Sunday. Sidc members only, but i'm sure we could come to some arrangement if your not.

I hope this is clear, cause I'm confused !!!!.

Anyway it's on the 13th & 14th April, will cost about £15 for the weekend, (the same price even if you just turn up for 1 day), this is to cover the cost for the stand.
If you go on the Saturday you get an Autoglym pack free anyway!!!.

Thanks for all your replies, I think I have enough peeps now.

So far the following have expressed a wish to be on the stand at the Donny Show.

1. Trouser - What car do you have? What day are you attending Saturday, Sunday.
2. Terzo333 - Both Days. (Terzo)
3. Dc911- Saturday Only. (22B)
4. WRX - Saturday Only. What car do you have?
5. Andrew h - Sunday Only. (P1)
6. Mr Emery - What day are you attending Saturday, Sunday. (MY01)

8. Graham Beal - What day are you attending Saturday. (Sti4)

Therefore Saturday - 4 cars so far (6/7 Required)

At the moment Option 1 is the favourite. That means that I require about 6-7 cars for both Saturday and Sunday.
It is with the Mitsubushi Lancer Club, they cannot fill their allocation, so therefore have offered us half their stand. We will try and segregate it so it looks like where not with them. I'm trying to get a banner.

So what I need at the moment, asap, everybodies preference for the day/days they would like to attend, so I can get the ball rolling.
The organisers are distributing the tickets very soon.
I need this, to see whether I have too many or too few people.

Once this is done, I shall email everybody individually, about times, payment etc.

Well I have finally managed to sort this out, those of you who I have recently emailed will know how stressed this has made me, but hopefully it is all sorted.
I have had to request more tickets from the MLR club because of the demand I have received this year.
Strange I did this last year and got very little response.

Anywaythis is the final count, there are no more cars/people required for the stand.

I hope that everybody is happy with the days that they are attending.

As previously said we will be the guests of the Mitsubishi Lancer Register.
Because they are unable to fill their full allocation of 15 cars on their stand, they have offered us the rest, which equates to 7 cars per day.
This is effectively half the stand, so on the day my intentions, with a little help from one of you kind gentleman is to some how segregate us from the mitsi's.
I am also in talks with the SIDC to get a banner so we can at least look like a professional outfit instead of a bunch of misfits.

It has been brought to my attention today about passengers with those that are exhibiting/showing their cars on the stand.
The organisers are charging £20 for passengers for a weekend pass when entering the show at the exhibitors entrance.
This works out ok, if your passenger is intending to be at the show all weekend. If not and your passenger is only intending to be at the show for 1 day then I would consider persuading them to queue at the main entrance with the other spectators as this only costs £11 for the day. Does that make any sense. (because I'm confused!!!)

I will be sending everybody an email, with details etc.

That's about it me thinks.

It's only 4 weeks away, I need to send the cheques off to MLR, then to the Organisers, then wait for the tickets, them post them on to you. So really time is of the essence.
