RAC Trackstar - As Fitted to STi 7 etc
A couple of questions from current subscribers.
I have often wondered as a paying subscriber to the standard equipment tracker on my STi 7 - does anyone have any experiance that it work as described?
As in The TM100 will track your car if it is moved, without your vehicle’s key in the ignition. This vehicle tracker works by sending a signal to the Trafficmaster National control centre who will pin point your vehicle's whereabouts using the American Military GPS satellite network. The Trackstar stolen vehicle tracker system is also equipped with a motion sensor and will alert the Control centre in the event of your vehicle being moved by low loader or towing.
Anyone tested this with rolling the car without ignition keys in?
Did they call you, were you arrested
Just one of those thoughts that popped into my head

MY05 STi Type Uk had a flat battery & was put on the back of a low loader so the dealership could have a look at it.
Before the low loader got no more than 25 yards down the road, I got a call from RAC Trackstar!
Not bad service, not bad at all.

Just ring them up and ask for a "test" !
You are allowed 6 a year for free, as YOU are responsible for proving to an insurance company that the Tracking device was functional in the event of a claim for theft.
