Got this professionally fitted thru my standard stereo. Now I've upgraded the stereo and added an amp I need to add in the 'standard' Nokia speaker and connect the muting cable.

Anyone done this and can point me in the right direction? I'm assuming I just need to unplug the old connector which interfaced to the standard stereo/speakers and then connect up the Nokia speaker to the HF Unit.

I then have a mute cable from my new stereo, which I assume somehow connects to the Nokia, can anyone clarify?

thanks,

greg

Gregh,

My cark-91 is sitting in a bag waiting to be re-installed in my new Scoob. The speaker is on a 2.5mm jack plug which fits into the back of the HF unit. The tel-mute is a single yellow wire with, on my recently de-installed pile of spaghetti, an inline fuse and a spade connector.

The back of the radio in the Audi had a yellow wire with "tel-mute" printed along it. The fitter (each time I've had a kit installed) has warned me that the mute might not work if the kit and the radio were opposite polarity (I guess if the kit goes high on mute and the radio wants ground or vice-versa). He's said I might need a relay (which of course he doesn't have), but each time it's worked fine. Either I've been lucky, or there is a standard that the mfrs are using.

Hope that helps

Regards
Dox
