Does anyone know what work is done during a 40k service? As I'm skint I was going to do it myself. So far I have found the following are replaced:

Air Filter
Oil Filter
Oil
Spark plugs
Brake Fluid

Subaru charge £200 more over a standard oil and filter change

Forgot to say, it is a UK 04 STi

40k service is a medium interval and should be only oil, filter and brake fluid

The things you mentioned should be done at the 30 and 60k interval

Oil filter, oil, brake fluid. Air filter and spark plugs should have been done at 30,000. Everything else is 'inspect'. Thats for a UK01 WRX. Graham

40k miles or 48 months, schedule replace;
Engie oil & filter
Brake & clutch fluid

Thanks for the replies lads, I can't understand why they charge so much.

I'll do it myself, fit some braided hoses at the same time and still have cash in my pocket.
