Question help with headers

Ive got a impreza sti type r v3 and was thinking of putting some headers on it but have been told diffrent stories, people saying they lose the impreza burble and dont make a diffrence to the performance. Also what are equal length headers?

Thanx all

You'll lose the burble if you put equal length headers on it, im getting my standard ones wrapped and ported, these are good upto 400bhp ish.

equal length headers will defo lose the burble , go for some after market un-equal one (such as gt2 , hks,or gruppe-S v2 )
spool up will rise afew rpm, but if its tuned right with supportings mods , you will see up to 25bhp gain

i hate to burst your bubble but if your running the standard injectors and turbo you wont get 400 bhp - a realistic aim will be 330bhp

unless you plan on changing the turbo and injectors stick with ported and heat wrapped OEM headers. as said above, the ported standard headers will see you to 400bhp with supporting mods

What injectors are the best as i thought the type r yellow injectors were good enough for that power with a welbro fuel pump also turbo wise was gonna keep it as it is till i change the internals but got no plan for that yet. But i still think i should hit higher then 330bhp

what turbo do you have?

if your in the market for headers then speak to harvey on here and he will set you straight on exactly what you should expect from your car with your mods. he will supply you with the headers that will match exactly what you need
