Default Newbie questions

Hi All,

New to scubbies and a couple of questions you guys could help me with.

When I drive the car, going from first to second, the clutch snatches. Its like there is nothing on the clutch pedal then all there. A bit like just letting the pedal out fast, no gradual bite etc. Now is this normal and I just have to get used to the car a problem?

The clutch is 'snappy' between first and second until you get used to it. It can be difficult to change smoothly, but every other gear is fine. And its a 'Hawkeye' by the way .

Yeah thats how it feels, snappy! Some times I drive it, thinking about it and its fine. Then I stop thinking about it and get a jolt from first too second.
