Not really: Spare parts industry for old scoobs as well as other nich cars is crazy;

Just look at how many cars are being broken for spares in the for sale section on here (some non-damaged runners too). Yes some "could" be stolen as well, so stay sharp; Buyer beware.

There are 4 reasons you get your car nicked
1, joyriders
2, parts
3, stolen to order
4, get away vehicle

Sadly for us Impreza's fit the bill on all accounts.

We had over 20 scoobs/evos+ 1 Porsche nicked from the Wolverhampton area just Fri-Mon easter weekend! Don't say much for round here. Official sources told me this, inside info. They ranged from '95 WRX to a Hawkeye. *******s need there ***** cut off.

Jailed yes, but for how long, that family have to live with the images of being held at knife point for the rest of their lives.

These fu@~£ers should be castrated without ansthetic and then left to die a slow and painful death somewhere. This isn't just car theft.

Someone once said, "If these lads didn't have Hoodies and Masks, most people would slap them and tell them to f**k off!" .......

However, when you are taken by surprise, superior numbers with guns and knives there is no shame in simply handing the keys over ...

9 years ago when I became the owner of my first Impreza there were these events happening and I did wonder if I had done the right thing ..... don't have sleepless nights, these things are rare (but well reported).

They watch the victim for a while and I do wonder if they choose not to attack if the 'victim' looks like he could possible take a few of them out?

Default scum

The after affects of this kind of crime is devastating. Its not the car has been stolen but the bad memories they will have for all there life.
The criminal justice system doesn't reflex these issues enough.

Shame they will probably have a better quality of life inside( good meals, looked after etc) than they would out! Not really much of a deterrant ( its probably a holiday to them)
I expect they'll be a bit pissed off when they release them halfway through there sentence- but then they can look forward to carry on where they left off!
Untill our sad excuse for a "justice" system brings in some harder sentences this will just go on and on.
