Where to get the car serviced?
My beloved WRX is now ready for it's annual service (70k service). I had the car serviced (60k service) just after I purchased it 12 months ago at Triangle Subaru, Chesterfield. Since Triangle is no longer Subaru, I am looking elsewhere, namely Scoobyclinic, Beechdale Subaru at Derby, or Sheffield Subaru Service. I am based nr Alfreton, Derbys. Who would you recommend and why?

There's a Subaru place in Luton they charge £420 for a cambelt service on a newage wrx so a 70k service i presume would be cheaper, i can't decide wether to go there, scooby clinic or Zen performance lol

Carnetix
Melton Mowbary, Wouldn't touch Triangle with a ****ty stick even if they had stayed as a Subaru dealer cause they are a bunch of twots
Carnetix on the other hand really know their stuff and for the service your getting its £165 an I know this cause mines due in for the same service, this doesn't include cambelt though, but ive already done mine so no problems.
I Wouldn't use Scoobyclinic either but thats my personal choice after past dealings
I also prefer specialist rather than dealer after some very dodgy procedures seen in the flesh whilst servicing.

Sheffield Subaru Service
Give Paul and Sally a ring mate, had my 3yr service done there and couldn't have been treated any better, didn't even mind me stood over Paul watching and asking some stupid questions while he worked on my baby!!!

Unless they do courtesy cars Autotecnica might be a bit out of the way, but I just read your thread regarding Adam so am contemplating it.

sheffield subaru service get my vote, to be honest you will not find a better place to take your car, paul's been a subaru mechanic for the last 15 years and really knows his stuff had my old Rb5 3 years and nobody else touched it, followed him from the dealers at monty's to scoobybits then onto his own place and that's how much i regard his workmanship and keeping with him with my type r, plus sally will make all the cups of tea you can drink.

Yeah, suppose I should of followed this up really.
Sadly I went to Beechdale Subaru in Derby cos it was the most convenient at the time and the brakes were really squeeling at me to be changed.
It was rather expensive for a 70k service on a car that's only done 56k and is well looked after - £700 .
I don't hve any gripes with the way I was treated because customer service was good and the service was completed satisfactorily with the mahoosive exception of paying steeler prices - for the price of front oem brakes I could've had some specialist uprated discs and pads - lesson learned. In addition to the usual 70k service I was advised to have the alternator and A/C belts changed - so I did. I will definitely get myself proper organised next year and take it to someone who cares for the small man and doesn't just empty his pockets (was in need of a courtesy car at the time too - they gave me a new shape impreza... first thing the wife said: "What's that car they've given you... it's so ugly; that's not an Impreza and never will be" ).
