Most people sell seats on with the subframes attached so you won't have to worry

Guys I don't think he's asking about putting newage seats into a car - if I read this right he's asking can he swap the driver's seat with the passenger side seat to even out the wear.
That right Shaun?

If that's the case I'd be surprised if you could do as I'd expect the various mechanisms for reclining to be on one side only. You never know though - you may get lucky

You can't just swap them over - as above post states the seat adjustments would be on the wrong side.

I too have a worn drivers seat, but my car is only MY05, not 02
I'm looking around for a replacement.

I have an 03 STi interior for sale, slight wear on edge where drivers seat gets rubbed against getting in and out. PM me if interested.
