In the Fast Fleet section of this month’s Evo there’s a piece about a EVO VI but in the article the driver mentions that his Skyline has just been nicked even though it has a Tracker.

He says after it was stolen the company was ringing the wrong number to tell him it was gone.

He then says that with 370,000 cars nicked in the UK every year that the cops don’t bother switching on their car Tracker detectors when they need to.

A tracker isn't intended to stop a car being stolen, it's intended to help recover it when it has. Too late if you ask me.
And surely they can only ring the numbers he gave them?
Poor chap though eh? His Skyline nicked and his EVO in bits....
Stef.

I have E Guard fitted. Waste of time I'm afraid. There are simple flaws even the most stupid car thief could sort it. As Trackstar and E Guard reply on GSM comms. Disconnect the cellular TX in your car and it useless. There are not hundreds of places to hide such a large thing. The system also asks you to press a button on starting the car. This allerts the thied to the fact that the system is fitted.

Get yourself an EGUARD. Best of the bunch me thinks... Came top of a (think it was Autoexpress) test a while back.
