Default Hi

Hello,
Just been recomended to join here to find out bit more about a Impreza b4 jumping into buying 1.
Basically want buy 1 trade.
In Blue (the light blue colour)
Would like a 2 door but it seems to b dominated by 4 doors, but not a prob.
Wat sort of things can you guys recomend i look out 4 when looking at dealers and garages for 1. Want spend 7k max.
How are they on petrol do they drink or are they ok on using as a daily car

Thanks for any replies

Welcome to the club. I'm learning myself so my knowledge of scooby's is
a bit thin. Came to the right place though. Do what I did and have a good read around the site for a while as any questions would've been asked a million times before

When you say 2 door, this means either a P1 (which only really come in WR Blue, or standard Subaru Blue ) or a Type R. The P1 is a UK Prodrive special, the Type R is a Japanese Import.

Both of these will be at least 9 years old now, so finding the right one is important. You may be better off buying one advertised on here, maybe pistonheads or even autotrader, with a known history, although someone may be able to recommend you a good dealer who specialises in these (I can't).

All fast Subaru's are pretty poor on petrol, but it depends what you are used to. Don't expect to see better than 25mpg, and possibly considerably worse depending on spec and your driving.

The good news is that 7k will get you a good example, it would also get you a newage bugeye STI, sometimes known as a V7. Some people don't like the looks, but they are great value for what you get.

The most important thing is to get one which has been looked after, and to be honest for the age of car you are looking for that might not be from a dealer.

If you let us know more about what you are after then you might get some pointers.
