Has anyone ever had one of these done? I'm in the process of buying a car and not being the most confident in car mechanics I think it would be a good idea?

Also what are your thoughts of repossessed cars? I have seen one for sale and its cheap.. The current owner (a trader, he doesn't sound the brightest spark ) doesn't know anything about it. All he has is the car, mot and v5. There's no history or anything. Is this normal for this kind of vehicle?

Waste of time IMO from some experience.

Better to take car to specialist.

ps the dealer probably knows everything, he' doing a Columbo impression but actually he's Arthur Dailey!!
