Default I'm a bit worried!

My impreza 2000 turbo has started to judder when i accelerate up to the boost range then when i get to about 3000 rpm it feels under powered like its struggling to put the power through.

I'm not sure if its me but I could swear my turbo whistle sounds louder too?

Can anyone advise?

Thanks.

Have you got any boost gauges to see if it is making boost ?

When was the last time you changed the spark plugs and gapped them right ?

Any kind of smoke coming from the exhaust ?

Do you know how to fault code the car ?

It sounds as if you have a misfire, possibly caused by a faulty coil pack or spark plug!!

Problem solved. The manifold under the intercooler was missing a bolt!! It had unscrewed itself and the left the manifold hanging about 100 mill from the bottom of the TMIC.

Srewed in a new bolt and shes good as new.

Panic over...

Snap! did that on my old classic a couple of years back. When i replaced the bolt i couldn't believe how quick it was, as it had been like it for a while.
I payed Triton Motor sport £300 to find the problem, they replaced the coil packs, no difference, robbing ........
