immobiliser options
had my 01 wrx 3 weeks now need to fit a decent immobiliser - what are my options / costs etc - what would you recommend ? what to avoid ?

new to allof this - been accused of having a mlc but hey til you have driven one you don;t know why im from the toon (newcastle) do theses guys come to me ?

Buy the best you can afford. And Toad are sh1te, dont bother. Viper do a comprehensive system for about £300, which also has a PROPER PAGER with it and it works for upto a mile. With a visible LCD screen, so you can see what area of your car is being broken into or messed with. I had one on my Escort Cossy and it was absoloutley trouble free, and the pager really does work.

Another vote for Viper here. Viper, Hornet, Python & Clifford and all made by the same company.. Directed Electronics and are quality bit's of kit. Not sure about the others as I have a Viper but I believe the 460XV & 480XV are currently the only Viper units approved by Thatcham.
