the idea of heatwrap is to keep the exhaust warm just as the heat shield would do but not having it wrapped can cause you to lose power ie the hot engine bay idea plays a role aswell but thanx but not the answer i was looking for

The heat wrap (or ceramic coating) has a dual function, it keeps the engine area cool and keeps the exhaust gases hot. In theory if the gasses cool they contract and slow down.....less efficient at spinning the turbo LOL.
I would expect that any cooling after the downpipe would make not a lot of difference in the real world and is away from the engine bay.
