morettes seem to be the industry standard bugeye mod now days, I would keep it original at the front end. Looks a lot cleaner IMO

STi's without a doubt. I personally would fit the original Subaru grille and little vented firtles (don't know what they are called ) that sit either side, between headlight and grille!

Morrette lights on,
Front splitter off,
STi badge off as it's a WRX regardless of mods,

All imho.

STI lights every time, my bro-in-law has the morrettes and, whilst the look good, they're just not a patch on the STI lights IMHO

i prefer the look of the morettes personally (ok i'm biased ) but the light they give out is pretty damn rubbish - i'd stick with the STIs

keep the STI lights mate, I bought a bug STI JDM with morettes and could not wait to get rid of them, they look gash IMO. And has Steve_PPP said they give out very poor light as well.

I bought mine with morettes. I had the chance to change back but I personally think they look more appropriate. The STI lights just remind me to much of Penelope pitstop.

I come out of work and the scoob is always facing directly towards me...the morettes look aggressive like the car is angry. I'm keeping mine

That's what I like about the morettes, they look much more aggressive. The sti's do look cleaner and more appropriate, but just fancy a change.
Headlights to be swapped tomorrow, pics once they're swapped

Frayz

I presume you had seprate ballast for the second HIDs and that they are for the high beam. Did it make much difference or does it just look better

Yes Jon they are 2 separate kits.

I live out in the country where there is very little in teh way of streetlighting. The HIDs are probably one of my favorite and usefull mods. Having 2 sets of 6000K lights on gives an astonishing amount of light when driving at night.

I would never ever go back to normal halogen lamps

Glad you're enjoying them. I agree, it's all well and good having a fast car, but it helps to be able to see where you are going at night

Our new ballasts are less than half the thickness and true plug'n'play.

SuperHIDs - for your driving safety

Discount code SCOOBYNET274 for £20 off HID kits.

Agreed that Morettes look a bit cheap in comparison to the STI lamps, plus I've heard the plastic gets brittle and can break with age, and that the light quality isn't that great - with replacements hard to come by nowadays you're probably best off avoiding them. Plus STI lamps were pretty much designed to take HID's.

Frayz - how long do your high beam take to come on when you flash people? That's my only hesitation in going the whole hog and having HID for main beam as well as dipped....

STIs all day! Morettes wont suit the kit. Plus imo morrettes are very maxpower-esque!
Save your money and sort out the fog covers instead.

There is zero delay mate. They come on instantly, faster than any halogen.

Both my kits came from BOB5, i bought spare bulbs with them but havent had to touch any of them in over 2 years. Superb quality and service.

Tee Hee I've got THREE !

As I'm old, I need to see further in the dark....

Absolutely stunning ! Honest ! But I found that 6000 K causes some blue light scattering in misty/murky conditions.

dunx

P.S.Apex Performance in Bradford, as of group buy fame, do a H1 kit for around £60, allowing for currency fluctuations....
